Anna Bormann is a concept and product designer based in Berlin.
In addition to her independent projects, she works for and with many types of clients, amongst these are creative agencies, other designers, artists, and private individuals.
After studying Industrial Design in Berlin and Amsterdam and graduating from the Universität der Künste Berlin, she worked for LEGO GMBH’s concept lab for several years, successfully creating new concepts and products.
Guiding forces in her work are the peculiarities and inspirational phenomena in everyday life, but also targeted, theme-based research.
The actual creation process is successfully driven by solid hand and computer crafting skills. Anna creates products and objects that convey a strong analytical foundation as well as a high-level of craftsmanship, technical precision and expertise.
Her personal style is a mixture of simple forms, meticulous detailing and a unique combination of technical expertise, geometrical shapes and playfulness all combined with a colourful and warm attitude best found/reflected in her independent projects. Next to freelancing jobs, lately she’s been dealing with the topic of the use of resources. Here the concepts of recycling/ up-cycling, re-use, consumption and validation play an important role.
